In Great Britain in 20101:

1,850 people of all ages were killed in road accidents

22,660 people of all ages were seriously injured in road accidents


Of those that were killed, 55 were children; of those that were seriously injured or killed, 2,502 were children. The majority of those killed or seriously injured aged between 2 and 15 years of age and over 90 years, were pedestrians.
