    • Available with either single or dual layer 3M™ Zeta Plus™ Filter Media
    • Excellent performance in throughput and filtration efficiency with proper media selection and sizing
  • Cartridge
    • 3M™ Zeta Plus™ Filter Cartridges are for use in stainless steel housings
    • Available in 8-inch, 12-inch, and 16-inch sizes
    • Multiple lenticle and construction configurations
    • 3M™ Zeta Plus™ EXT Series Filter Cartridges (dual layer cartridges) available in SP and ZB media families

    • Designed for use with commercially available filter presses

  • SP series media: widest range in nominal pore sizes

    3M™ Zeta Plus™ SP Series Filter Media offers the widest range of nominal pore sizes relative to other 3M™ Zeta Plus™ Filter Media offerings. SP media also has grades with larger nominal pore sizes than LA or ZB media.

  • ZB series media: higher charge

    3M™ Zeta Plus™ ZB Series Filter Media offers a higher charge level than SP or LA media. It offers single layer and dual layer grades with a smaller nominal pore size than either the SP or the LA media family.

  • LA series media: low extractables

    3M™ Zeta Plus™ LA Series Filter Media is the cleanest 3M™ Zeta Plus™ media family offered. 3M™ Zeta Plus™ LA series low aluminum (LA) filter media are designed to provide low levels of extractables, especially aluminum.

  • Activated carbon series

    3M™ Zeta Plus™ Filters with Activated Carbon Series Media have been used in a broad array of pharmaceutical manufacturing applications. Purification attributes mirror those of bulk activated carbon including decolorization, catalyst adsorption and removal of specific polar or nonpolar contaminants and eliminate the need to handle carbon powder in bulk form.

  • VR series media

    3M™ Zeta Plus™ Filters with VR Series Media offer an economical alternative to other available technologies for reduction of viral burden. Contact us to learn about filter media recommendations for virus removal from blood plasma proteins and bioprocess derived cell culture fluids.

  • Delipid series media

    3M™ Zeta Plus™ Delipid Series Filter Media incorporates lipid-specific adsorbents for selective removal of lipids, surfactants and biological hydrophobes from human blood plasma, serum-based products, recombinant proteins and other biological fluids.


  • Single layer

    One layer of filtration media. Using two or more single layer products may be advantageous depending on the process.

  • Dual layer (EXT Series)

    3M™ Zeta Plus™ EXT Series Filter Cartridges and Capsules include two media layers of varying grades in a single lenticle. The upstream media layer has a wider nominal pore size than the tighter downstream media layer. This construction—with one grade “stacked" on another—increases the holding capacity of the filter, extends its service life, and provides enhanced clarification of biological fluids.
