3M™ Cold Shrink Cable Joint QS200 94-AK620-1/C is our kit containing a 3M™ Cold Shrink QS200 silicone splice body with integrated electrode, stress control device, silicone elastomeric insulation and outer semi-conductive layer, mechanical connector, copper screen sleeve, constant force springs, and thick-walled EPDM rubber Cold Shrink outer tubes to re-build the cable outer jacket.

For inline splicing up to 36 kV Umax voltage class, single-core, polymeric power cable systems, use 3M™ Cold Shrink Cable Joint QS200 94-AK620-1/C. Our cable joint kit is designed for power cables with copper wire screen according to HD 620 (IEC 60502), and is suitable for cable cross section 50-240 mm². It features a prefabricated one-piece Cold Shrink splice body which allows fast and easy installation at temperatures ranging from -20 °C to +50 °C. The integrated, semi-conductive electrode forms a faraday cage over the connector and eliminates the use of tapes or additional moulded or metallic electrodes; mechanical connector provides quick and easy installation, without tooling; copper screen sleeve and constant force springs offer a solderless earth connection; and the thick walled, EPDM rubber Cold Shrink outer re-jacketing tubes provide physical protection and moisture sealing of the completed inline splices. The tubes can be stacked together to provide a short parking position on the cable. No heat/flame or tools are required for splice body installation. 3M™ Cold Shrink Cable Joint QS200 94-AK620-1/C meets and exceeds the requirements of European Standard CENELEC HD 629.1.
