3M™ Nextel™ Fabric AF-8 is woven from Nextel 312 high temperature continuous ceramic oxide fiber that is designed to maintain strength and flexibility under a variety of high temperature conditions. Nextel fabric AF-8 outperforms the useful limits of many other high temperature textiles for improved performance in demanding applications.

These fabrics outperform the useful limits of other high temperature textiles such as aramids, carbon, quartz or glass. 3M™ Nextel™ woven fabrics are true ceramics. They are oxidation resistant, chemically inert, lightweight, electrically insulating, flexible, and fire, flame and heat resistant to temperatures of 2200°F (1204°C).
