3M™ Nextel™ Fabric BF-20 is a woven fabric from 3M™ Nextel™ 440 high temperature continuous filament ceramic oxide fiber. Due to the properties of Nextel 440 fiber, this product outperforms the useful limits of many other high temperature textiles. It is medium weight, electrically insulating and flexible. Nextel fabric BF-20 has low air permeability and is often used as a component in thermal barrier constructions. It is used in combination with other Nextel products such as sewing thread and high temperature materials such as bulk fiber/insulation products to construct thermal barrier components. 3M™ Nextel™ Style BF Woven Ceramic Fabrics are designed to meet the toughest thermal, mechanical and electrical performance requirements.
