Cover and protect surgical site wounds with dressings that provide protection of newly formed tissue. 3M count care dressings have been synonymous with quality and performance for more than 30 years offering a range of easy-to-use, cost-effective dressings that support best practices and help improve patient outcomes.
Unlike traditional sponge gauze and tape dressings, our Tegaderm + pad dressing is proven to provide a viral* and bacterial barrier, helping to reduce the risk of infection. It is waterproof yet breathable, absorbent yet non-adherent and easily applied.
Impervious to liquids, bacteria, and viruses*, Tegaderm +Pad dressings provide an effective barrier to external contaminants.
*In vitro testing shows that the transparent film dressing provides a viral barrier from viruses 27 nm in diameter or larger while the dressing remains intact without leakage.
This post-surgical dressing can be used on areas where swelling or movement is expected, on superficial and partial-thickness wounds, lacerations, abrasions and burns, and on light to moderately draining wounds. It reduces application time, conforms to body contours, is gentle, porous and breathable and has a unique, non-adherent absorbent pad.
Tegaderm absorbent clear acrylic dressing is a transparent wound dressing that absorbs wound exudate while still allowing visualisation of the wound bed. The novel acrylic polymer pad technology is designed to manage low to moderate wound drainage without dressing breakdown in the wound.
More than thirty years ago, 3M introduced the first Tegaderm I.V. dressings. Since then, we’ve collaborated with health care professionals around the world to develop products that simplify and improve care practices, continually expanding the range of options within the Tegaderm dressings portfolio.
Every day, we are inspired by everything healthcare professionals do to give patients the best possible care. So as new technologies have emerged and advances made, we’ve applied them to transparent dressings, resulting in a broad portfolio of I.V. site dressings that help improve patient outcomes and provide excellent value.
