Vehicle Indoor Air Quality (VIAQ) is an important consideration while designing all passenger vehicles - especially cars. The Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in the vehicle interior are under constant scrutiny due to their possible effects on the passengers inhaling them. This requires designers to look for better alternatives.
A new generation of 3M™ Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) Tapes are highly engineered to give designers the freedom to expand their thinking – focus on the fit and finish of your automotive interior whilst meeting Vehicle Indoor Air Quality (VIAQ) standards.
Are you involved in design or manufacturing for automotive applications, especially those in the vehicle interior? Read on.
There are two major standards which define target values for Vehicle Indoor Air Quality (VIAQ) - the Japanese Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA standards) and ones defined by German Association of the Automotive Industry (Verband der Deutshen Automobilindustrie or VDA 278 standards).
Learn more about how 3M tapes help meet the JAMA and VDA 278 standards.
