Start by protecting your floor using the ScotchBlue™ Pre-taped masking film. As a two-in-one product, it allows you to protect and secure your surfaces whilst you paint. Lay the ScotchBlue™ Masking Tape onto the surface, pressing down as you go to ensure that the protection film is held firmly to edges of your wall, skirting or carpet.
Decide the location of your wall design using a spirit level to ensure perfectly straight and vertical lines. Apply ScotchBlue™ Edgelock Sharp Lines Masking Tape to avoid paint bleeds. Press tape down firmly using either your fingers or a soft spatula. Be sure to join both edges without any overlapping.
Start at the edges and corners of the wall with a paint brush, and continue painting from the inside of the masking tape towards the centre of the area to be painted.
Apply the paint in panels of a square metre at a time by using a paint roller in overlapping stokes: vertically, horizontally and to finish, a vertical smoothing stroke without reloading in paint.
Proceed in the same way for the second coat. ScotchBlue™ Edgelock Sharp Lines Masking Tape can be removed for up to 14 days without residues or tearing.
Remove the tape at an angle of 45° to cut through the painted surface. The tape doesn't tear, doesn't damage the surface and removes without residue. Leaving you sharp lines, with a perfect finish!
Allow to dry following the time specified by the paint manufacturer.
