3M™ Cavilon™ No Sting Barrier Film
Bodily fluids, adhesive trauma and friction can quickly break down skin. 3M™ Cavilon™ No Sting Barrier Film prevents and treats sore skin from bodily fluids and protects from adhesive trauma and friction. It is an alcohol-free and sting-free liquid barrier film that provides protection for up to 72 hours.
A breathable coating can help decrease skin breakdown. It is transparent which allows for continuous monitoring of at-risk skin whilst the unique formulation provides long-lasting protection and doesn't transfer to, or interefer with incontinence pads.

Frequent re-application of barrier creams requires valuable staff time. 3M™ Cavilon™ Durable Barrier Cream offers durable, long-lasting protection from bodily fluids and moisturises the skin. Fewer applications are needed which saves time and labour. It's unique, polymer-based formula creates an invisible, breathable barrier over the skin to moisturise and protect skin from the irritating effects of incontinence while still allowing adhesive products to adhere to the skin. It is also perfume and parabens free and safe to use on injured skin.

For daily bed bathing we recommend one pack of Cavilon bathing and cleansing wipes per patient each day. These wipes offer the convenience of a combined cleanser and skin conditioner in a gentle and quick-drying wipe. Use one wipe for each of the eight body areas and then discard. Do not flush down the toilet. Cavilon bathing & cleansing wipes may be used at room temperature or warmed in a microwave oven (see warming instructions on the pack).

To clean the skin after each incontinence episode we recommend the Cavilon continence care wipes. These wipes offer cleansing, conditioning and protection of the skin. This allows easy implementation of the key elements of a successful Incontinence-Associated Dermatitis (IAD) prevention programme. If additional protection is required Cavilon continence care wipes are compatible with 3M™ Cavilon™ Durable Barrier Cream and 3M™ Cavilon™ No Sting Barrier Film.
