3M™ Structural Adhesive SA9822 is a two-part epoxy formulated for steel or aluminum hem flange bonding applications in the body-in-white shop. This 2K adhesive can offer the same mechanical performance of a 1K adhesive, even on oily metal. Induction curing eliminates the need for pre-cure ovens. Inducted adhesive allows for storage of bonded substructures for up to two months before curing.

3M™ Structural Adhesive SA9822 is induction cured to handling strength and allows for carbon fiber and other components to be effectively bonded to metals such as aluminum without distortion or resin degradation. The adhesive features controlled reactivity for a longer work time (approximately 30 minutes) and proper panel lock up after induction heating for accelerated curing.
