ETFE: One Tough Fluoroplastic
Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer – commonly known as ETFE – is one tough fluoroplastic. It is used in a broad variety of challenging applications from harsh industrial environments to architectural design elements and household applications. 3M is selected for its technical excellence and reliability.

3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroplastic ET 6210AZ is a course agglomerated powder ideal to produce ETFE filled compounds that benefit from powder pre-blend processing prior to extrusion-blending and pelletization. Compounds utilizing Dyneon fluoroplastic ET 6210AZ can be processed by extrusion into a variety of products.

Dyneon fluoroplastic agglomerate ET 6210AZ is a melt processable partially crystalline fluoroplastic resin which offers a valuable combination of properties, such as non-stick, tear resistance and non-flammable qualities. It can be fabricated into films, extruded thin-walled tubing and injection molded parts using specialized equipment.

ET 6210AZ can be blended with different materials to make metal coatings with better substrate bonding. When formulating with this product, users enjoy a fluoroplastic that tends to adhere better than competitive products, while offering a better finish.

When formulating with ET 6210AZ, you can create surfaces that have low surface energy to create a non-stick surface with very good film formation and low porosity for excellent wetting performance. The chemical and temperature resistance increases the durability and range of uses, while providing corrosion protection.
