3M™ Dyneon™ PTFE TF 1620 is a semi-free flowing powder grade polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) that’s ideal for molding of billets for skived films of greater than 200 µm, shaped parts sheet stock and thinner walled articles. TF 1620 offers broad chemical resistance and an excellent operating temperature range from -328°F (-200°C) to 500°F (260°C).

Polytetrafluoroethylene, commonly known as PTFE is used as indispensable problem solver. It can be used in a broad variety of challenging applications from harsh industrial environments through architectural design elements to household applications. PTFE is selected for its technical excellence and reliability. PTFE TF 1620 is ideal for molding of billets for skived films of greater than 200 µm, shaped parts, sheet stock and thinner walled articles. Dyneon PTFE TF 1620 is positioned between free flow and standard flow PTFE and may allow the processor to use lower pressure than traditional free flowing powders. Quite simply, fluorine makes the difference. Fluoropolymers like Dyneon PTFE TF 1620 are outstanding materials, created by the presence and dominance of fluorine. Fluorine imparts special properties to fluoropolymers that make the difference for the polymer and the application. Like many of 3M PTFE products, the presence of fluorine gives Dyneon PTFE TF 1620 broad chemical resistance and an excellent operating temperature range from -328°F (-200°C) to 500°F (260°C). This PTFE meets ASTM D4894 Type IV, Grade 2. For more than 50 years 3M Dyneon has been able to supply unique solutions to meet the increasing market challenges in developing and producing designated state-of-the-art 3M™ Dyneon™ PTFE products at the highest quality level. This goes hand-in-hand with our unparalleled commitment to research and customer support. Like all of our products, Dyneon PTFE TF 1620 is backed by skilled researchers at several 3M tech service laboratories. Collectively, our products benefit from decades of research and development, improving upon PTFE. Toward that end, we are in regular communication with customers who deliver feedback, allowing us to improve existing products and deliver custom solutions. All of this is part of an unrelenting drive to deliver top products to you.
