Our Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ PD Surface Conditioning Disc has a springy and buoyant web that is ideal for cleaning and finishing on softer metals such as aluminum, copper and brass, as well as non-ferrous metals.

Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ PD Surface Conditioning Disc is ideal for cleaning and finishing softer materials such as aluminium, copper and brass and non-ferrous metals. Our PD surface conditioning discs are a good choice for light, low pressure applications. They are highly conformable and responsive to surface irregularities, and work well with soft and oily metals that can be damaged by a cut that’s too rigid or aggressive. Scotch-Brite Roloc PD Surface Conditioning discs feature an extremely spongy and flexible open web for load resistance that stops debris from clogging the disc or quickly wearing down the abrasive mineral. The PD, SC, SE and SL Scotch-Brite discs are versatile and are each designed for a specific task. Some are stiffer and more durable, designed for heavy duty applications such as grinding and blending. Those that are more flexible and conformable are designed for low pressure applications such as polishing and finishing. The PD discs offer increased load resistance, suitable for light grinding, low pressure blending and decorative finishing tasks. This is also a great starting point for low pressure cleaning. Our discs feature the Roloc attachment for easy fastening of disc to tool. They are smaller discs that quickly attach onto a Roloc disc pad. Choose from TR, TP or TSM attachment systems, depending on the preference of tool, and conveniently fasten discs with just a quick half turn action. Scotch-Brite PD Surface Conditioning Discs respond to contours and effectively remove unwanted burrs, soils and contaminants without altering the geometry of the work piece, which in turn reduces rework and boosts productivity. Gaps in the web allow swarf to escape, so debris does not clog the mineral.

Suggested Applications

  • For cleaning and finishing on softer metals such as aluminium, copper and brass, as well as non-ferrous metals
  • Use flexible and conformable discs for low pressure applications such as polishing and finishing
  • Use stiff and durable discs for heavy duty applications such as grinding and blending
