Aluminum oxide mineral coated on 3 mil polyester film with PSA back. Coated with a softer resin system, available in 1.0 micron. Used in polishing fiber optics and precision lapping operations. Provides smooth surface on precision electronic parts.

Apply 3M™ Lapping Film 265X to precision electronic parts for a smooth, uniform finish. Our lapping film sheets are perfect for polishing fibre optics as well as precision lapping operations. They are made up of precisely graded aluminium oxide particles coated on a 3mil polyester film, with a PSA backing and softer resin than our 265X lapping sheets. The tight particle distribution offers a more consistent cut rate and finish. Available in 1 mic grit in discs, sheets and rolls and a range of grades.
