For medium voltage, 3/C shielded, indoor power cables without ground wires, use 3M™ Cold Shrink Termination QTIII 7624-T-95-3W. Our termination kit’s one-piece versatile design allows quick installation and accommodates a wide range of cable sizes in restricted areas. It has a 23.4-30.0 mm cable insulation range and a cable cross section of 240-300 mm² (3.3 kV), 185-300 mm² (6.6 kV), 185-300 mm² (11 kV) and 120-185 mm² (15 kV). It’s suitable for three conductor power cables ranging from 3 kV up to 15 kV; solid dielectric insulations, such as polyethylene (PE), cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and ethylene propylene rubber (EPR); protected and weather exposed contaminated locations; free-hanging or bracket-mounting arrangements; and upright or inverted installations. The kit has excellent thermal stability, high flexibility and seals tight – keeping resiliency and pressure even after prolonged years of aging and exposure. The High-K stress controlling compound is a specially formulated high dielectric constant material, which minimises surface stress by uniformly distributing the electrical field over the entire surface of the insulator. The silicone rubber insulators, EPDM stress control tubes, stress controlling compound and environmental sealing compound are compatible with all common solid dielectric insulations. It has good solvent resistance, high dry and wet insulation resistance, and excellent resistance to ozone and ultra-violet radiation. No heat/flame or tools are required for installation. 3M™ Cold Shrink Termination QTIII 7624-T-95-3W conforms to the IEEE Standard 48 Class 1 requirements for 3.3 kV up to 15 kV classes.
