3M™ Diamond Grade™ DG³ is a highly efficient, retroreflective sheeting that gives outstanding reflectivity at every viewing angle, at every viewing distance and in all weather and daylight conditions. Designed for use with traffic control signs and delineators, our reflective sheeting satisfies or surpasses the minimum recommended luminance index for all classes including RA2, R3A and R3B. DG³ features a comprehensive 12 year performance guarantee, and offers significant energy savings with regulations now permitting DG³ to be used without external illumination in certain situations.
DG³ is often used with durable traffic signs, including gantries, motorways and trunk road signs. DG3 has certified European Technical Approval (07/0272) and is the only premium reflective sheeting to carry CE Marking. Available in five colours, DG³ is also available in fluorescent and translucent formats for special applications.
DG³ achieves remarkable performance in all situations by utilising full corner cube optic technology, which reflect more light back to the driver than any other reflective system. Production techniques used to create DG³ are also kinder to the environment than other reflective sheeting manufacturing methods. Since creating DG³, we have reduced Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions by 97%, energy consumption by 77% and solid waste by 46% compared to standard glass beaded sheeting manufacturing.
