The Year 8 students were given a presentation on 3M and were taken on a guided tour of the production areas and laboratories.

3M's Kerry Walton organised the visit and commented: "Today's visitors were all 13-14 year-olds who are deciding on their options for GCSEs and British Science Week was a great opportunity to showcase what we do here.

"Hopefully we will have helped broaden their horizons in choosing their future careers."
