    • Visitors to 3M’s interactive stand at Traffex 2017 - Europe’s largest dedicated road, traffic, parking and transport event held at the NEC in Birmingham from 4-6 April - enjoyed hands-on demonstrations of a number of road safety innovations.

These included the 3M™ TS-500 Motorised ANPR Camera that offers a raft of new benefits and advanced features designed to transform the investigatory powers of border control and highway agencies as well as police forces worldwide.

The new camera can capture licence plate images in both infrared and colour. This means that it can produce highly accurate readings in bad weather and low light conditions as well as at high traffic speeds and from a wide field of view. It can be adjusted remotely via a computer or tablet and can easily be moved between sites.

As well as the chance to see live demonstrations of the key features of the new camera, visitors to the stand were invited to interact with other 3M road safety solutions, including reflective materials used for traffic signs, vehicle safety markings and road markings.

Ben Rooney, Segment Marketing leader for Traffic Management said: “We used Traffex as the launch pad for the global debut of the 3M TS-500 Motorised ANPR Camera and this created a lot of buzz at the show.

“We know that visitors like to see first-hand how our products work, so we offered technical demonstrations across the three days of the show. These included a dark tunnel area where we used laser and torch demonstrations to showcase a range of 3M retroreflective products and this was a big hit with delegates.”
