3M has today hosted a sustainability workshop facilitated by Forum for the Future at its head office in Bracknell, Berkshire.

    • Forum for the Future is an international non-profit making organisation that works with businesses, governments and society to solve complex sustainability challenges.

3M is a long-standing member of the forum and was joined by companies including BSH, BASF, Kimberley-Clark, Aster Group, Godrej and Johnson Matthey to explore innovative ways to work together to tackle common challenges around markets, environment, technology and society.

Said Heidi Hauf, principal sustainability advisor for Forum for the Future: “As a society we are facing a number of complex challenges and it was inspiring to see businesses working together to use their influence to tackle these.

“We are delighted that 3M is demonstrating leadership by hosting this event, which gave us the opportunity to find some common areas of interest and come up with ideas that will make a difference to both society and the environment.”

Delegates were also invited to enjoy a tour of the Customer Innovation Centre (CIC) and see some 3M product innovations in action.

Added 3M business project manager Romy Kenyon: “The event was a great opportunity to meet with representatives from like-minded companies, identify our common areas of opportunity and explore some new ideas for using innovation to solve sustainability challenges. By collaborating, we will be able to solve these challenges faster.”
