Spandex, one of the world’s leading trade suppliers to the sign making and display industries, is showcasing a range of versatile, high performance 3M graphic films and architectural finishes at The Print Show from 11-13 October.

The show is expected to attract thousands of visitors who will get to see live demonstrations of print-related technologies from 140 exhibitors and take part in seminars, training sessions and a traditional print masterclass.

Spandex’s large stand incorporates a wrapping area that will host live demos of non-PVC 3M™ Envision™ Print Film 48C and 3M™ Envision™ Print Wrap Film 480CV3 as well as the popular 3M Wrap Film Series 1080, 3M Wrap Film Series 1380 and 3M™ DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes to let sign makers, vehicle wrappers, shop fitters and producers of architectural graphics see the latest 3M innovations in action.

3M’s highly conformable films combine excellent print quality with ease of use for a wide range of applications including indoor and outdoor signs, walls, doors and floors and vehicle wraps and are compatible with all printers.

The 3M Wrap Film Series 1080 is available in more than 80 colours and a variety of finishes including gloss, matte, metallic, satin, carbon fibre and brushed metal effects. The extra wide rolls of 1.52m allow applicators to quickly cover entire vehicle panels without joins or seams.

In addition, the 3M Wrap Film Series 1380 provides vehicle wrappers with outstanding conformability as they can be applied to deeply recessed areas without cutting or using inlays. This film has been constructed with an additional white layer to prevent the substrate colour from showing through and a durable transparent top coat for added protection against scratches and weather resistance.

Self-adhesive DI-NOC Architectural Finishes from 3M offer a durable and cost effective solution for creating aesthetically appealing interiors without the expense of replacing fixtures or fittings. The films conform to flat and curved surfaces for fast and easy installation and are available in a wide range of patterns and effects including wood, metal, textile, stucco, ceramic, stone and leather.

All the films incorporate pressure-activated Controltac Graphic Film with Comply Adhesive Technology by 3M. Controltac technology contains microscopic glass beads that lie on the surface of the adhesive to enable the film to be repositioned until the exact positioning is achieved and then give a smooth, bubble free application when pressure is added.

Representatives from Spandex and 3M will be available throughout the show to demonstrate the latest solutions available to the ever-evolving print market.
