Climbing helmets

With no brim, climbing helmets provide upward visibility, comfort and the added security of a chin strap. They are designed to protect you from small falling objects, especially for workers at-height.

How do I choose the right hard hat or safety helmet?
The selection of adequate and suitable personal protection of the head depends on the hazard that the user is exposed to and a risk assessment conducted by the employer. A safety helmet should provide the adequate level of protection and should be suitable for workplace environment in which a task is done. An important consideration is the types of other PPE that a safety helmet needs to be combined with, like faceshields and earmuffs.
Can a 3M safety helmet or hard hat be worn with safety glasses or a respirator?
The selection of adequate and suitable personal protection of the head depends on the hazard that the user is exposed to and a risk assessment conducted by the employer. 3M offers different solutions when head protection needs to be combined with eye or face protection. These solutions include spectacles or faceshields integrated and attached to the helmet, or a powered air purifying respirator (PAPR) which include head and face protection.

How do you wear earmuffs with a hard hat or safety helmet?
3M™ helmet mounted earmuffs are attached to 3M™ safety helmets through special slots on the side of the helmets. Details of assembly instructions are described in the User Instructions of the 3M™ safety helmets.
