3M™ Acrylic Plus Tape EX4015T features two adhesives, one on each side of an acrylic foam core, designed for robust performance even on complex contours and paint surfaces. Viscoelastic foam core provides stress relaxation when exposed to high application loads and maintains tight bond-line aesthetics under normal conditions. Removable T-liner is good for heat-bond and other PSA tabbing.

3M™ Acrylic Plus Tapes EX4500 Series are black, double-sided acrylic foam tapes designed for attaching automotive components. They provide outstanding adhesion to many modern automotive paints, including difficult-to-bond surfaces, as well as to medium surface energy plastics such as ABS - often without the need for adhesion promoter or surface pretreatment. With an operating temperature of up to 90°C, the tapes are engineered to withstand demanding automotive conditions and offer excellent resistance to temperature, weathering, UV exposure, and solvents.The optimized acrylate foam core supports easy application and adapts well to component surfaces, making the tapes suitable for both manual and automated application processes. Thanks to their unique viscoelastic properties, 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tapes can compensate for stress and accommodate differences in substrate elongation caused by temperature changes. This provides a key advantage compared with conventional foam adhesive tapes such as PE or PU tapes. In addition, the EX4500 Series offers immediate initial adhesion, allowing components to be processed further without the need for temporary support or fixtures. The tapes also support greater design flexibility by enabling differentiated trim attachments without requiring changes to the vehicle body configuration. Their sealing and damping properties can also contribute to improved NVH performance, making them a reliable solution for modern automotive assembly applications.
