3M™ Acrylic Plus Tape PT1500T Dark Gray, 1.52 mm

3M™ Pressure Sensitive Acrylic Plus Tape PT1500T is a tabbable, 1.52 mm (0.060 in) thick, black, double-coated foam tape with a red polyethylene liner on one side and a clear 2 mil liner on the other side. This tape is designed for the attachment of automotive exterior trim parts such as body side mouldings and claddings.

An attachment tape for rigid clearcoat paint systems, 3M™ Acrylic Plus Tape PT1500T, Dark Gray, 1.52 mm was developed specifically for attaching exterior trim and other parts to automotive paint surfaces. It features a 1.52 mm acrylic foam core with two different adhesives. The liner-side adhesive is formulated for very high initial and final adhesion to scratch and mar-resistant paint systems. The non-liner-side adhesive is excellent for bonding to automotive trim and other components. The viscoelastic foam core conforms well even to complex geometries, and is engineered for stress relaxation when exposed to high stress loads. It maintains bond line aesthetics under normal stress loads. The inconspicuous dark gray color of 3M tape PT1500T helps to ensure high levels of satisfaction among consumers. The tape features a red polyethylene liner on one side. On the other side, a removable polyethylene-coated clear T-liner is for heat bond and other PSA tabbing methods. The red, 3M-branded liner is silicone coated on both sides to provide easy one-piece release and efficient tape application.
