3M™ Vibration Damping Tape 436 is a silver, dead soft aluminum foil constraining layer coated with a pressure sensitive viscoelastic polymer on a blue polyethylene easy release liner. This tape absorbs and dissipates vibration and reduces noise. It is useful for a variety of applications in the aerospace, automotive, construction, appliance and MRO fields.
Use 3M™ Vibration Damping Tape 436 to die-cut aluminium foil parts and reduce noise. Our damping foil tape suits many applications and industry sectors. It’s a silver, dead soft aluminium foil constraining layer coated with a pressure-sensitive viscoelastic polymer on a blue polyethylene easy-release liner. It absorbs and dissipates vibration and noise. Use it for a wide variety of applications in the aerospace, automotive, construction, appliance and MRO fields. In the aerospace industry its used for die-cutting aluminium foil parts, due to its linered design. The cold temperature resistance allows our tape to perform at extremely low temperatures. It’s also resistant to flame, moisture, chemical, weather and UV degradation. It’s heat reflective and thermally conductive for heating and cooling efficiency.
