Our 3M™ Cubitron™ II Cloth Belt 994F features 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain which cuts fast and self-renews during grinding. These high-performing products are ideal for medium to high pressure applications on carbon steel.

Featuring a water resistant ZF weight backing, 3M™ Cubitron™ II Cloth Belt 994F can be run wet or dry. Our belts feature Precision Shaped Grain which gives an exceptionally fast cut and lasts longer than conventional abrasives. Precision Shaped Grain forms into triangular points that slice through metal rather than gouging or ploughing like traditional abrasives. These points continuously self-sharpen as they fracture, generating an extremely fast cut with less heat build-up – reducing heat-related stress cracks and discolouration. The abrasive produces a uniform finish over its life and helps eliminate burning during end-grain sanding applications. The ZF-weight cloth backing provides durability and the mineral is resin bonded to it for reliable performance, even under high heat and pressure. This belt contains a grinding aid, which helps reduce running temperatures – protecting heat sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys and cobalt alloys.

Suggested applications
  • Use in medium to high pressure carbon steel and aluminium applications
