3M™ Interam™ Mat Mount 1650HTG is a non-intumescent single layer mat solution designed for a wide range of temperatures and gap designs up to 6 mm, such as close-coupled or manifold mounted converters. Needled polycrystalline fibers resist mat erosion. Low organic binder content suits particulate filters. The material is available with colored monolith-side surfaces for improved canning.
Non-Intumescent Single Layer Mat Solution for A Range of Emission Control Designs
Featuring an erosion-resistant needled polycrystalline fiber construction, 3M™ Interam™ Mat Mount 1650HTG is a non-intumescent single layer mat solution with a wide operating temperature range (ambient to ~1100ºC). Excellent for light-duty and commercial vehicle applications, this material is suitable for gap designs up to 6 mm including manifold mounted converters. The very low (~1%) organic binder content makes it suitable for gasoline and diesel particulate filters. Non-intumescent polycrystalline fibers deliver added durability and help prevent mat erosion for designs incorporating a range of monolith types, including those requiring thin or ultra-thin walls or close-coupled converter locations.
3M™ Interam™ Mat Mount 1650HTG features a smooth, colored coating on the monolith side which improves canning performance. Select basis weights are available without color.
