3M™ Interam™ Mat Mount 1600HTE is a non-intumescent single layer mat solution for underbody, close-coupled or manifold mounted converters in gasoline applications as well as DPF, SCR and DOC diesel applications. Needled polycrystalline fibers resist mat erosion, and low organic binder content helps maintain peak holding performance.

Non-Intumescent Single Layer Mat Solution for A Range of Emission Control Designs
Featuring an erosion-resistant needled polycrystalline fiber construction, 3M™ Interam™ Mat Mount 1600HTE is a non-intumescent single layer mat solution with a wide operating temperature range (ambient to ~1100ºC). This material is excellent for gasoline applications including manifold mounted converters, close-coupled converters and underbody converters, and is approved for diesel applications including diesel particulate filters, selective catalytic reduction and diesel oxygen catalyst. The very low organic binder content yields minimum pressure dip due to burn-off and maintains a low peak holding performance. Non-intumescent polycrystalline fibers deliver added durability and help prevent mat erosion for designs incorporating a range of monolith types, including those requiring ultra-thin walls.
