3M™ Scott™ RAS (Respiratory Airline Supply) Asbestos airline breathing apparatus set is a positive pressure set that provides the highest levels of breathing protection. The RAS Asbestos apparatus is ideal for areas with high levels of contamination.

Specifically developed to meet the needs of the asbestos removal and stripping industry, the 3M™ Scott™ RAS Asbestos airline breathing apparatus provides the highest degree of respiratory protection. This open-circuit positive-pressure airline breathing apparatus generally contains a positive-pressure demand valve, supply hose with in-line particulate filter medium-pressure warning whistle and an airline supply hose manifold. The apparatus is mounted in an adjustable PU-coated polyester webbing bandolier harness that’s easy to wipe clean. The tempest demand valve provides positive pressure inside the face mask which leads to an assigned protection factor of 2000* (whilst the unit is connected to an air supply). The face mask is also fitted with a negative-pressure filter to allow entry and egress to working areas where the user doesn’t need to be connected to an airline. When the airline supply hose is disconnected, an integral non-return valve prevents contamination of the supply hose. The warning whistle is fitted to the demand valve supply hose to warn of airline supply failure, indicating that the wearer should switch over to the filter canister. The respirator canister is fitted to the mask with a blank cap to prevent contamination. The wipe-clean webbing of the harness has a smooth surface which can reduce the trapping of asbestos fibres and lead to improved decontamination of the set after use. The inline particulate filter is fitted to the supply hose to prevent any particulate fibre contamination that may be present on the hose from passing into the face mask. Approved and CE marked to EN 14593-1:2005 and AS/NZS 1716:2012. *dependent on local regulations
