3M™ Polishing Film 591X with plain back is comprised of micron graded mineral that has been coated onto a fibrous (flocked) polyester film backing. Designed to break down into a slurry during use with water.

"Achieve a clean and consistent finish when MT fibre optic connector polishing, using 3M™ Polishing Film 591X. Our orange film features micron graded mineral coated onto a fibrous (flocked) PSA polyester film backing. It’s perfect for use when flock products are needed. Our film is designed to break down into a slurry during use with water. With fewer rejects and no slurry clean-up, processing is more efficient. More control of fibre protrusion helps to meet geometry and fibre optic height requirements. Using our film helps to reduce equipment maintenance costs. It’s suitable for use on a variety of substrates, including hard metals, ceramics, optical substrates, metal, silicon carbides, plastic and glass. Available in discs."
