3M™ Scotchcast™ Resin Pack 470-B is our non-filled, two-component polyurethane resin for room temperature curing. When installed it has a continuous operating temperature of -40 to +110 °C.
For electrical insulation and mechanical protection of electrical cable joints use 3M™ Scotchcast™ Resin Pack 470-B. Once our resin has hardened, it provides impact resistance and durability against moisture and atmospheric corrosion. It’s suitable for indoor and outdoor, underground and submerged environments. It has excellent hydrolytic stability, low exothermic reaction temperature, and is available with closed mixing and pouring (CMP) system. The shelf life is at least 36 months when stored between 10-40 °C, with humidity level < 75 % and in the originally sealed bag. The resin pack comes in a two-part, closed mixing pouch within a 200 ml (215 g) bag. Single box. 3M™ Scotchcast™ 470-B is classified as LI-LMP-MMP (low-voltage insulation and mechanical protection) according to CENELEC HD 631.1 S2 Standard and is compliant with EU directive 1907/2007/EC (REACH).
