• When used as part of 3M's system of matched components finished sign faces are warranted for the same number of years as the 3M sheeting to which it is applied
• If Film is applied to a compatible 3M retroreflective sheeting according to 3M recommendations, the resulting construction will conform to the applicable performance classes of EN 12899-1 or the national specification for the respective sheeting series.
• The ECF 1170 film is recommended for protecting the surface of retroreflective films printed by digital inkjet printing using 3M UV inks and Canon UVGel inks for the manufacture of vertical traffic signs
• It provides mechanical and chemical protection for the surface, as well as UV protection for the printed pigments
