3M’s commitment to veterans runs deep through all levels of our company. You don’t get to be named one of the country’s top veteran-friendly companies without policy-level commitment from the top. And recently, about three dozen 3Mers joined a Minnesota Assistance Counsel for Veterans event to show their hands-on commitment as well.

The 2015 Twin Cities Veterans Stand Down event served more than 1,100 homeless and underserved veterans in the Twin Cities community. We were able to help provide everything from legal services to clothing and a lot of things in between. One of the things 3M was able to do, given the types of products we make, was to provide bags of things that might be useful but hard to come by for some: bandages, hand sanitizer, tape and more.

I would be proud to just have coworkers who use their own time and resources to help veterans in need, but to know we have the support of our company behind us means that much more.
