3M has been named as the top engineering and manufacturing company for apprentices in an award scheme run by recruitment site The Job Crowd.

    • As well as being named as the top engineering and manufacturing company for apprentices, 3M was listed among the top 100 companies for graduates to work for and was placed seventeenth in the list of top 50 apprentice employers.

The Job Crowd rankings are based on feedback shared in thousands of anonymous reviews sent in to the site over the year by graduates and apprentices working for hundreds of employers.

Said 3M recruitment coordinator, Natalie Gibb: “These awards recognise everything from skills development, career progression and training through to company culture and it’s fantastic that early career employees have ranked us highly in these areas.

“We have taken on more than 50 apprentices since we started our scheme in 2014 and are recruiting a further 21 this year and it was a wonderful surprise to get this external recognition for our programme. As well as an opportunity for young people to progress in their chosen careers, apprentices make a valuable contribution to 3M.”

Results of The Job Crowd listings will be published in a print guide in September and distributed to schools and universities.
