    • Honesty and integrity is the heartbeat of 3M and the company is proud that its long-standing commitment to doing business the right way has again been recognised by Ethisphere®, a global leader in defining and advancing standards of ethical business practices.

Ethisphere recognises companies that align principles with action, work tirelessly to make trust part of their corporate DNA and recognise their role in society to influence and drive positive change in the business community and societies around the world.

It assesses companies in five categories: ethics and compliance; citizenship and corporate responsibility; culture of ethics; governance; and leadership, innovation and reputation.

The award is the result of the collective efforts of 3M people everywhere in the world. It also recognises the commitment of 3M leaders to doing business the right way and creating a workplace environment where compliance and ethical business conduct are expected and encouraged.

3M is one of just 124 global companies honoured in the 2017 awards and these span five continents, 19 countries and 52 industry sectors.

The full list of the 2017 World’s Most Ethical Companies can be found here.

In addition, 3M has once again received a Gold rating for corporate social responsibility from EcoVadis. This places 3M in the top one per cent of companies assessed in 2017 by EcoVadis, a collaborative platform that evaluates the environmental, social and ethical management systems of suppliers.

Founded in 2007, EcoVadis has become a trusted partner for procurement organisations worldwide and helps them improve their global footprint by choosing suppliers that demonstrate a strong sustainability performance that is measurable and can be benchmarked.

3M’s global supply chain was assessed by EcoVadis in a number of areas, such as environment, labour practices, fair business practices and sustainable procurement, and the company scored 74/100 overall against the average of 42.5/100.
