3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape GT5916 is designed for very high adhesion and flexibility, ideal for attaching exterior parts to automotive surfaces. A 1.6 mm viscoelastic acrylic foam core provides stress relaxation when exposed to high application loads, and maintains tight bond-line aesthetics under normal conditions. Acrylic adhesive applied to both sides delivers excellent peel and shear strength.

Designed for a Full Range of Exterior Trim Attachment Developed specifically for attaching exterior trim and other parts to automotive substrates, our 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape GT5916 delivers very high adhesion and flexibility in a range of conditions. It features a 1.6 mm acrylic foam core with acrylic adhesive applied to both sides. The acrylic adhesive is formulated for excellent peel and shear strength, and can be applied to a range of automotive surfaces including traditional and modern paint systems – in many cases, without adhesion promoters. The conformable viscoelastic foam core is engineered for stress relaxation when exposed to high stress loads, and maintains bond-line aesthetics under normal stress loads. The inconspicuous gray color of 3M Acrylic Foam Tape GT5916 helps ensure high satisfaction among consumers. This tape features a red polyethylene liner which is silicone-coated on both sides for easy one-piece release.
