3M™ Acrylic Plus Tape WT4112 is engineered for attaching EPDM/TPE components such as gaskets and seals. It features two adhesives, one on each side of a viscoelastic acrylic foam core, designed for robust performance even on complex contours and difficult automotive paint surfaces. A heat-activated adhesive forms an immediate bond to EPDM/TPE materials. Core provides stress relaxation when exposed to high application loads and maintains tight bond-line aesthetics under normal conditions.

3M™ Acrylic Plus Tape WT4112 is an acrylic foam tape constructed with two different adhesives and designed for attaching weatherstrip and gasket seals in automotive and industrial applications. Typical applications include sunroof seals, lamp seals, and taped seals on vehicle doors. The non-liner side features a heat-activated adhesive that forms an immediate, consistent, and durable bond to most EPDM formulations and TPE materials, supporting reliable attachment of seal components in demanding applications. The tape also provides excellent adhesion to a wide range of automotive paint systems, including new scratch- and mar-resistant paints, low surface energy paint systems, and traditional automotive paints. Its acrylic foam core combines high initial adhesion with effective stress-handling properties, helping to maintain bond performance when components are exposed to movement, temperature changes, or mechanical stress. Thanks to its uniquely designed foam core, 3M™ Acrylic Plus Tape WT4112 offers excellent conformability, allowing the seal to adapt well to the substrate and achieve strong wet-out. The dark gray core and black adhesive help improve bond-line aesthetics, making the tape suitable for applications where the finished appearance is important. In addition, the tape can be applied to seal components prior to high-temperature processing, such as seal coating bakes, supporting efficient manufacturing and process flexibility.
