The 3M™ L Handle Clutch Roller Tool is designed with a spring loaded brake on its roller. The operator must apply sufficient force to compress the spring for the roller to turn freely and initiate the tape wetout process.
In this way, attachments can be pressed on in a reproducible and process-safe manner and sufficient wetting of the adhesive tape to the substrate is achieved.
