3M™ FC Epoxy Metal Filler is a fast curing filler for all metall substrates (steel, alu...) to fill deeper dents, shape and modell structures of the surface and provide corrosion protection for welded seams.
This fast curing Epoxy Metal Filler is suited to repair car surface damage to metal parts such as dents, reshaping of surfaces or fully sealing welded seams to provide corrosion protection. 3M™ FC Epoxy Metal Filler has a unique formulation, is lead-free, contains 100% solids and thus will not shrink whilst curing. It shows excellent adhesion and corrosion protection properties. With an open time of ca. 15-20 mins and a curing time of ca. 2 hrs at 22°C, 3M™ FC Epoxy Metal Filler enables fast processes in the body shop. It is also possible to further speed up the curing by using IR drying. Any tin solder process still in application can easily be replaced by using 3M™ FC Epoxy Metal Filler to avoid any increassed heat involvement into the process, which is key for some modern car materials such as high strength, thin steels, composites etc. No open flames are needed anymore, heat sensitive car parts don't have to be removed as the products can fully be applied and cured at room temperature. Once the material has cured, it can be easily sanded and the normal paint application process follows - please follow paint manufacturers guidelines.
