3M™ DBI-SALA® Confined Space HC (High Capacity) Vehicle Counterweighted Base is constructed of powder coated aluminium  and attaches to the vehicle via 50 mm, 1-7/8", or a  2" hitch ball.  Integrated adjustment features provide flexibility during installation.  When used as part of our complete system, this base meets the requirements of EN795:2012, EN1496:2006, CEN/TS 16415: 2013, and AS/NZS 5532.

For a counterweighted base for use with 3M™ DBI SALA® HC Davit Mast, use 3M™ DBI SALA® Confined Space HC (High Capacity) Vehicle Counterweighted Base. Our vehicle counterweighted base utilises a vehicles mass as ballast for confined space rescue and work support systems. It's constructed primarily of lightweight alloy aluminium, and the components are finished in a mixture of hi visibility green and gloss black powder coatings.   The integrated adjustment features such as extendable and retractable horizontal member provide flexibility during installation and can be secured into position with detent pins. Vertical adjustment capabilities built into the hitch coupler assembly allow the base to accommodate a range of vehicle hitch receiver heights.   The hitch ball coupler functions as both a primary attachment point to the vehicle, as well as a universal joint allowing a multi axis range of motion. Hitch ball diameters of 50 mm, 1 7/8 in and 2 in are compatible with this base. Levelling of the base is made possible via two integrated levelling screw feet and one built in level indicator. The friction reducing insert sleeve is constructed of thermoplastic which aids in davit rotation.   When used as part of our complete system, this base meets the requirements of EN795:2012, EN1496:2006, CEN/TS 16415: 2013, and AS/NZS 5532. All 3M™ DBI SALA® HC Bases are designed to be used in combination with 3M™ DBI SALA® HC Davit Masts, and together form a perfectly matched confined space rescue and work support system.
