3M™ Cold Shrink Termination QTIII 7685-S-8 is our kit containing High-K, tracking resistant, silicone rubber skirted terminations; constant force springs; pre-formed ground braids, 3M™ EMI Copper Foil Shielding Tape 1181 Strips; tracking resistant silicone rubber skirt assemblies (inverted skirted kits only); Scotch® Mastic Strips 2230; 3M™ Cleaning Cable Preparation Kit CC-2; and detailed instructions.

For various outdoor weather-exposed and contaminated applications, use 3M™ Cold Shrink Termination QTIII 7685-S-8. Our termination kit’s compact and versatile design allows for quick installation in restricted areas, and is suitable for copper wire or tape screened cables, with 95-300 mm² range. It’s suitable for up to 36 kV voltage classes; tape shield, wire shield and UniShield® cables; solid dielectric insulations, such as polyethylene (PE), cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and ethylene propylene rubber (EPR); free-hanging or bracket-mounting arrangements; and upright or inverted installations. The High-K stress controlling compound is a specially formulated high dielectric constant material, which minimises surface stress by uniformly distributing the electrical field over the entire surface of the insulator. The silicone rubber insulators, EPDM stress control tubes, stress controlling compound and environmental sealing compound are compatible with all common solid dielectric insulations. 3M™ Cold Shrink Termination QTIII 7685-S-8 conforms to the IEEE Standard 48 Class 1 requirements for 15 and 25/28 and 35 kV terminations.
