3M™ Stikit™ Paper D/F Disc Roll 236U is designed for convenience, combining D/F aluminum oxide discs with a handy adhesive backing ready for quick and easy attachment to a 3M™ Stikit™ backup pad (sold separately). The disc roll makes the discs easy to grab while eliminating the use of disc liners.
Designed for use with a random orbital sander, 3M™ Stikit™ Paper D/F Disc Roll 236U discs feature long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains, a strong C-weight paper backing that resists tearing during aggressive sanding, an open coat, and load-resistant coating. Aggressive cut and long life make this product desirable for high production operations as well as general sanding and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass. 3M™ Stikit™ discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit™ D/F disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit D/F backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander. The dust management system works with a self-generated vacuum or central-vacuum-ready sander and uses a series of evenly-spaced holes aligned with the abrasive, disc pad, and vacuum vent. The holes help eliminate airborne dust as well as debris on the workpiece, for improved working conditions and increased productivity. 3M™ Stikit™ Paper D/F Disc Roll 236U discs also feature a load-resistant coating that allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would, otherwise, clog the surface of the disc and hinder sanding ability. Loading is further reduced by an open coat, which means the abrasive grains are spaced slightly apart so that dust can escape rather than obstructing the cutting edge of the grains, thereby optimizing cut-rate and disc life. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fra
