This 3M™ precision shaped abrasive grain disc is an aluminum oxide open coat Hookit™ disc constructed on a film backing. Primary markets: metalworking, woodworking.

These discs are now available with an extended grade range up to 1000+, making them ideal for a broad spectrum of applications, from aggressive stock removal to fine finishing. Effective on a wide variety of substrates, including metals, composites, all wood, paints, primers, and other coatings. The durable film backing offers greater tear resistance than paper discs, ensuring additional durability and edge retention for both wet and dry applications. For best results, use with 3M Xtract™ Random Orbital Sanders to maximize performance and efficiency. Our complete line of 3M™ Hookit™ discs is perfect for environments where adhesive-backed discs may become contaminated by dust or dirt. Hookit discs are less aggressive than 3M™ Stikit™ discs, making them ideal for achieving finer finishes. Hookit sanding discs attach easily to a hook-and-loop backup pad, can be removed cleanly, and reused throughout the abrasive's life, enhancing cost-effectiveness and convenience.

Suggested applications
  • Ideal for a range of applications focused on stock removal and are effective on a wide variety of substrates - including metals, composites, gelcoat and whitewood
