No tools or studs required – see how easy it is to install 3M CLAW™ Plasterboard Hooks
- Install Wall Hook: Keep bottom of hook against the wall. Push lower prongs into wall, quickly and firmly. Continue to push until hook is completely flush against the wall.
- Secure Upper Anchor: Push upper anchor completely into the wall.
- Apply Cover: Snap the cover on with 3M logo upright.
- Removal: Slide a flat head screwdriver between the hook and cover, then gently pull away. Slide screwdriver behind upper anchor, then gently pull away.

3M CLAW™ Wall Hooks can be used on plasterboard only and don’t need a stud.

Yes, you can use the 3M CLAW™ Hooks on wallpaper. More force may be required to puncture the paper layer.

Can 3M CLAW™ Hooks be reused?
Yes, the 3M CLAW™ Hooks can be reused if the product does not appear damaged from use. The snap of the cover may become looser when reused.

Can I install the 3M CLAW™ Hook into existing holes on my wall?
No, 3M CLAW™ Hooks should be installed into a fresh plasterboard location only. Never install the hook into previous holes made by 3M CLAW™ Hooks or other hardware.

What is the best way to install the wall hook so that it is straight?
Installing the lower prongs of the wall hook on a lightly marked level, horizontal line will ensure the hook is installed in a straight line.

How do I align multiple hooks so they are level and in a row?
Mark a continuous, level horizontal line with a pencil where hooks will be installed. Push the lower prongs of the hooks along the line. Erase any remaining pencil marks. To see how to align multiple hooks watch this video.

Is it ok to use a hammer if I cannot push the 3M CLAW™ Hook in completely with my hands?
Yes, a hammer can be used to complete the installation of the metal hook. A hammer is not recommended to install the cover piece.

How to remove 3M CLAW™ Hooks?
To remove the 3M CLAW™ Hook, snap off the cover and then slide a flathead screwdriver between the plasterboard hook and the wall, gently pulling it away.
