Flying particles and debris

Flying particles can have enough mass and velocity to impact unprotected eyes, and could result in a cut or even pierced retina.
Dust particles and foreign bodies

Dust particles can became suspended in the air and may cause eye injuries. De-icing agents as well as metal fumes and smoke from arc welding are also potential eye hazards common in many workplaces.
Exposure to Hazardous Chemicals

Hazardous chemicals pose a serious eye safety risk in many workplaces. Even incidental or accidental contact-such as chemical splashes-can cause severe injuries.
Optical radiation

Some of the main sources of risk from optical radiation (ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR)) include: welding, brazing, cutting, furnaces, heat treatment, high-intensity artificial and natural light sources, and ultraviolet (UV) lamps.

Scotchgard™ Anti-Fog Coating resists fog 11x longer and has 7x better anti-scratch performance than traditional 3M™ anti-fog coating. Features proprietary 3M™ Scotchgard™ Anti-Fog Protector Coating which resists fog up to 11x longer than traditional 3M™ anti-fog coatings. Workers can feel confident wearing 3M protective eyewear that meets both the Impact- Rated Protector and Anti-Fog Performance (N) requirements of the EN ISO 16321- 1:2022.
