The 3M™ Scotchlite™ silver reflective transfer film 8735 on high-visibility clothing subject to higher stress, such as industrial and occupational garments, especially flame-resistant workwear, helps to enhance the visibility of the wearer at night or in low-light conditions. The material shines white when illuminated, even if the wearer is at the roadside. It is comprised of exposed retroreflective glass beads bonded to a durable polymer layer coated with a heat-activated adhesive. 3M's reflective transfer film meets ISO 20471 requirements but easily exceeds the minimum reflections values required at the highest performance level, thus greatly improving the visibility of people. The reflective material does not affect the flame-retardant properties of the garment, and it is renowned for its good long-term flame resistance as per EN 469. For this reason, it is a very good choice for flameproof protective clothing. It offers good value for money for high-visibility and occupational garments that require greater durability laundered at home. The reflective transfer film 8735 is easily washable at home up to 60°C (50 cycles as per ISO 20471). Even when industrially laundered (15 cycles as per ISO 15797) and dried in a tunnel finisher, the material exhibits very good wash and chemical resistance and good abrasion resistance. The film is assimilated through lamination and is thus permanently bonded to the garment without adding bulk.
