Looking for a reclosable fastener? When you need a strong, reliable attachment that also opens and recloses, look no further than 3M™ Dual Lock™ Reclosable Fasteners. Interlocking mushroom-shaped heads have five times the tensile strength of hook and loop products.

3M™ Reclosable Fasteners are the easy alternative to traditional fastening methods such as screws, nuts or bolts. Super strength. Ultimate ease. Durable enough to last through repeated opening and closing.

Different combinations within the 3M™ Dual Lock™ Reclosable Fastener family let you find the right strength for your application. 3M™ Dual Lock™ Reclosable Fasteners have mushroom-shaped heads in three different densities
- Type 170 (26 heads per square cm)
- Type 250 (39 heads per square cm)
- Type 400 (62 heads per square cm)

The Fast and Flexible Attachment Solution

Easy to Apply: Just peel off the protective liner from each mated piece of 3M™ Dual Lock™, attach them to your separate pieces (using a roller to ensure good adhesion) and then push the pieces together until you feel the mushroom-shaped heads interlock. Alternate method: Peel the protective liner from one side and attach the mated strip to one surface using a roller to ensure good adhesion, then peel the other liner to expose the adhesive and attach your second surface, pressing down to ensure good adhesion; the pieces can then be peeled apart for access.

Easy to Maintain: Just detach the pieces for easy cleaning and maintenance – fastener can be sprayed out with water or air to remove dirt or debris.

Easy to Replace: To change a sign or replace a panel, remove the original sign or panel and apply a new strip of either 3M™ Dual Lock™ to the new piece as described above, then push the pieces together.

Different combinations result in different holding strengths

Strong: 170:250
Stronger: 250:250 or 170:400
Strongest: 250:400

We advise against mating 400:400 because the density makes it difficult to engage and disengage effectively. For 170:170 the head pattern may not match up well to engage the heads properly.
