What is the difference between the EMS and EMS-ID Marker?
The locator detects only the position of the EMS marker and is able to perform a depth estimation of the buried depth.
The EMS-ID Marker has the unique feature of having a Serial Number and programming user defined text into the EMS-ID Marker.
The locator is able to detect the position of the EMS-ID Marker and read the user defined text and Serial Number.
The EMS-ID marker would normally be used in congested areas where precise locating is vital to quickly locate your buried assets

Do EMS-ID Markers need a battery to hold the information?
No, both the EMS and EMS-ID Markers are passive devices and don`t need a battery to operate.
