3M™ Precision-Shaped Grain (PSG) is ceramic abrasive technology designed with sharp, consistent cutting points. Instead of ploughing through metal like conventional abrasives, PSG slices cleanly, reducing grinding forces and heat buildup. This results in faster cut rates, longer disc life, and improved operator comfort with less effort and pressure required.

Do 3M™ Speedglas™ Welding Helmets meet EN standards?
Yes. 3M Speedglas Welding Helmets are designed to meet the relevant requirements of the older EN 166 and EN 175 standards, and/or the relevant requirements of the newer and replacement EN ISO 16321-1:2022 and EN ISO 16321-2:2022 standards respectively. Note: during the transition period between the newer and older standards, Speedglas components may be approved to and marked with older and/or newer standards. Selected models when used with the 3M™ Adflo™ Powered Air Respirator, are approved to EN 12941 (TH2/TH3) for respiratory protection. Always refer to the relevant product User instructions and comply with local health and safety regulations for and use.
